Why we built I Have A Voice
A personal mission born from family
For some, every word is a victory
Our family member lost his ability to communicate after an accident - but not his mind, his humor, or his love. We watched him struggle to express the simplest things. "I need water." "Call mom." "I love you."
We built I Have A Voice to give him back that ability. Every feature was born from watching that daily fight - and wanting to make it a little easier.
A screen becomes a voice. A glance becomes a conversation.
The app turns any iPad or iPhone into a communication device. A caregiver reads out letters, waits for a signal - a blink, a glance, a breath, any agreed cue - and selects. Letter by letter, sentence by sentence. Precise, deliberate, and worth every second.
With eye tracking, the person can do it themselves. Look to navigate. Open your mouth to select. No touch. No switch. Just you.
Built with respect
Every word in this app belongs to someone. We built it to honour that - a focused, uncluttered interface that serves the person using it, and nothing else.
Now we want to share it with everyone who might need it. Because everyone deserves to be heard.
